The Community of Absentees

This article proposes an introspective reflection on the connection between my family history, marked by early episodes of bereavement, and the construction of my research object on the condition and fate of deportees. It seeks to bring my absent part into dialogue with the way in which foreigners and deportees constitute the absent and obscured part of state discourses and practices in terms of migration control.
