A Diagonal Art: The Humanities and Social Sciences Seized through the Prism of an Art of Inquiry

How may art be a critical appraisal device of science? To address this issue, we will show how artistic forms of inquiry, which combine epistemological and aesthetic approaches, scientific ethos and artistic subjectivity, broaden the modalities of knowledge, understood less in terms of the accumulation of knowledge and competence in a field than as an aptitude to to learning and communicating useful knowledge.
