This article focuses on a case study revolving around a performative action during the Gezi Movement in Istanbul in June 2013. It examines the choreographed performance “DEMO” by Turkish Airlines flight attendants on strike representing the only action during the movement that decidedly enacted an interweaving of conventional repertoires of action and performative acts. Bodies acting performatively along with text and objects, temporarily reappropriated the space-time of politics and enacted an extended “we”.
